C. Fulsty playing hockey

Whether you know it or not, I am a big hockey fan. I love watching hockey, but I play as well.

I have played roller hockey since I was 12, until recently. I have switched over to ice hockey now and love it! I’ve been playing for about 2 years total so far. I don’t play in elite leagues, just in intermediate adult leagues.

Injuries, I’ve had about 5 concussions, 2 cracked collar bones, and my worst was a broken fibula with my ankle being dislocated. That last one took about 3 months, a metal plate and 7 screws to heal but with a lot of work I’m playing like it never happened.

I do hope, at some point to, to create a great children’s hockey book. We’ll see what happens.

If you have any questions for me about hockey or anything else, you’re always welcome to send me a message on my website!

Hockey Fights Cancer

For “Hockey Fights Cancer” I’m going to blog about how cancer has affected me.

I have lost 2 grandparents and 2 friend’s parents to cancer. My brother was also diagnosed with melanoma  (skin cancer). After 2 surgeries he beat it.

I would like to eventually do something with Children’s Hospital and help out the kids there, especially the ones with a tough cancer battle ahead of them.

Hockey Fights Cancer and so do I!

Good luck to Craig Anderson and his wife Nicholle on their battle.

Future of C. Fulsty Books

I’m getting really excited for the two books I’m working on. I plan to send them to agents and publishers starting January 2017. I’m going through editing the books, while I already have to brand new book ideas I plan to work on soon as well. The ideas just keep on coming, hopefully for a long time.

Blog posting

I know I’ve been really far and few with my blog post, so I’m going to try to post every day in November. Yes I know I’ve missed two days already, but here we go.

Today, I’ve been thinking about money and being stressed about it. I understand there are many people out there stressed over money and I am one of them as well. Money has been extremely tight for me and I hate it.

On the other hand, I have two new books I’m about to start editing that I am very happy with and proud of! So look out for those!

New book for submissions

I love all of my books so far (especially the ones Shanilee illustrated) but I am also currently working on a big project. I am going to work very hard on creating a book that I plan to send to agents and publishers at the start of the new year. I plan on writing it with a Dr. Seuss-esk feel to it. I’m very excited about this project and will release details the further along things go. Right now I have a very rough draft of the story, no title.

Dr. Seuss esk

I am currently working on a book that I intend to write and illustrate in a Dr. Seuss esk fashion. I will submit this book to agents and publishers as soon as the new year hits. Stay tuned for updates.

Life gets in the way

After some life issues caused me to not feel up to writting great books, I feel great again. I fell into a depressed state and did not want to write since I put my emotions into books. I am currently feeling confident again and have started up again on my next book “The Lonely Cloud.”

Tough Times

Tough times are never fun. Whether you’re going through them alone, with a significant other or your entire family is dealing with them.
Trying to be a children’s book author has been a huge channel in itself. That’s not even including all the other stress and issues I’m facing day after day. Always remember that you can make it through. Put your head down, don’t let anything trip you up or distract you, and movie forward.
Message or email me if you ever need more inspiration to keep moving forward. I might even be in the same boat as you.
